Litigation Lawyer

Zervos Lawyers is seeking a capable and commercially minded Litigation Lawyer to join our established Litigation team.

This role is suited to a lawyer with 2–4 years’ post-admission experience, with practical experience in commercial disputes and general litigation, and the confidence to take responsibility for files while working within a collaborative team environment.

Zervos Lawyers is seeking a capable and commercially minded Litigation Lawyer to join our Litigation team.

This role is suited to a lawyer with 2–4 years’ post-admission experience, who is confident managing matters with a degree of autonomy, while working collaboratively within a team environment.

The practice involves a mix of commercial disputes and general litigation matters, with responsibility for family law matters where required, depending on client demand.

You will be involved in matters including:

• Commercial disputes and general litigation
• Debt recovery and contractual disputes
• Family law matters, including property and parenting disputes, where required by client demand
• Pre-litigation advice, negotiations and dispute resolution
• Court proceedings across Victorian jurisdictions
• Preparation of pleadings, affidavits and submissions
• Direct client contact and file carriage

You will have direct client contact, meaningful responsibility on files and the opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers on high-quality, industry-specific matters.

The Experience & Qualities We Are Looking For

Experience

2–4 years’ post-admission experience, with demonstrated exposure to:

• Litigation and dispute resolution
• Court procedures and interlocutory processes
• Drafting pleadings and court documents
•  Managing files with increasing responsibility

Candidates at this level are expected to have practical familiarity with running matters under appropriate supervision.

Family Law Experience

Applicants should be comfortable managing family law matters with an appropriate level of independence, including property and parenting disputes.
