Nicolas Zervos

Nicolas Zervos is regarded as a highly respected specialist lawyer in the areas of hospitality, liquor licensing, gaming and commercial law.

He was admitted into practice in 1980. Nicolas is a hands-on lawyer who represents a large number of commercial clients. At the same time, he has built a comprehensive and strong legal team who are renowned for their client service and expertise.

The firm has maintained strong and ongoing relationships with its established clients. Nicolas adopts the view that a client’s interests need to be preserved and that it is important for lawyers to have a full appreciation and understanding of the businesses conducted by clients.

Nicolas’ experience has not been limited to private practice and he has been actively involved in the hospitality industry, but also has been a Melbourne City Councillor and Assistant Commissioner to the Liquor Licensing Commission. He is fully aware of the regulatory framework governing liquor and gaming in Victoria. He is able to provide first hand advice in order to ensure that clients’ objectives are met.

Nicolas has acted on behalf of clients in a number of large high profile sales and acquisitions of businesses and freehold transactions in Victoria.

Nicolas says that hospitality law is an area that transcends all aspects of a commercial transaction and as a consequence, he has a comprehensive knowledge of all areas of commercial law. This has also transcended into the ethos of the firm, which is a recognised legal practice in the areas of commercial, hospitality and liquor licensing law.

Nicolas has had an extensive involvement in a number of Greek Community organisations. He is currently a Director on the Board of the Hellenic Museum.

Georgia Milonas

Georgia Milonas is a Consultant Lawyer with Zervos Lawyers and was admitted to practice in 2000.

In 2013, Georgia became a registered Trade Marks Attorney, and specialises in a broad range of intellectual property matters including trade mark clearance filing and prosecution, trade mark oppositions, trade mark maintenance and trade mark infringement.

Georgia also provides advice in relation to other areas of intellectual property law including: rights persisting in unregistered trade marks; copyright protection; design registration and protection; domain name registration; licensing and the assignment of trade marks.

Georgia has assisted clients in relation to their intellectual property from a broad range of industries, including hospitality, home wares, beverages and health.

Georgia also has a strong and broad background in commercial dispute resolution, including litigation in all jurisdictions enabling her to bring strong analytical, strategic and negotiating skills to her practice of intellectual property law.

Leanne Donde

Leanne is an experienced commercial lawyer. Leanne delivers high quality legal work and helps her clients navigate complex areas of law. Her priority is to find simple, workable solutions for her clients.

Jo McCutcheon

Legal Executive (BB)

Jo joined Zervos Lawyers in January 2008 after obtaining considerable experience working for a major city law firm. Her expertise focuses on conveyancing and mortgage and probate matters. She is an integral part of the property division at Zervos Lawyers.

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Business (RMIT) in 2000 and she is also a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (Victoria).

She is passionate in providing excellent legal service for her clients and meeting necessary deadlines and expectations in a timely manner.

Jonathan Williamson

Jonathan completed his law degree in June 2015 and was admitted to practice as an Australian Lawyer in February 2016.

Anna Chaimalas

Executive Assistant

The backbone of the firm, Anna Chaimalas is the Executive Assistant to Principal Nicolas Zervos. She has spent 30 years working with Nicolas and is an integral part of the Zervos Lawyers office.

She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the firm, providing solid support for the team at Zervos Lawyers. Her professionalism and commitment to the firm comes with years of experience. Anna is renowned for her personable approach with clients who immediately feel welcome and comfortable when visiting Zervos Lawyers.

Diandra Zervos

Personal Assistant (B.Comm)

Diandra Zervos commenced with Zervos Lawyers on a part time basis while completing her university studies. In 2012 she started full time as a Personal Assistant.

She is Personal Assistant to Stefan De Palma.

Diandra’s dedication and commitment has seen her become an integral part of the IP and commercial team. Diandra has rapidly developed skills in assisting in the preparation of complex applications for registration of local and international trade marks, and trade mark oppositions. Diandra also assists in the preparation of leases, Wills and liquor licensing applications, and liaising with clients on behalf of Georgia and Stefan.

Diandra’s friendly demeanour and strong work ethic have been valuable assets to the Zervos team. Her efficient nature and attention to detail ensure Georgia and Stefan meet their clients’ expectations in a timely and professional manner.

Melissa Cockram

Melissa joined Zervos Lawyers in Oct 2016 as Practice Manager. She has had over 25 years’ experience in business management including industries such as:

Legal;

Building;

Gaming;

and Thoroughbred Racing in Victoria.

Her professionalism, compassion and commitment is drawn from spending the last 10 years working in a mid-tiered Commercial Law firm in Melbourne’s CBD. She provided support for the business in finance, human resources, marketing and IT.
Melissa manages our firms’ day-to-day business operations including the Human Resources aspects within the firm. With her strong legal management knowledge, she will be providing support to all our staff both in professional development and matter workflow.

Madeleine Lee

Madeleine commenced with Zervos Lawyers in 2010 on a part time basis whilst completing her VCE and university studies. In 2017 Madeleine Lee commenced her legal traineeship with the firm upon completion of her studies.
           
At Zervos Lawyers, Madeleine sits within the Litigation and Commercial teams.

During her time at Zervos Lawyers Madeleine has been exposed to an array of arrears of the law, particularly litigation, liquor licence and gaming applications, leasing and debt recovery.

Madeleine’s strong work ethic and personable demeanour has been a valuable asset to Zervos Lawyers.

Lovey Morunga

Lovey joined the team at Zervos Lawyers in 2016, beginning her role here as Receptionist. Bringing with her, sound administration skills and extensive knowledge from her past role in a boutique legal firm in the CBD, Lovey is able to approach every task that comes across her desk with professionalism and confidence ensuring that our client’s professional needs are met.

Since joining Zervos Lawyers, Lovey has progressed in a Personal Assistant role within the Commercial team with preparation and drafting of Leases, purchasing and selling business’s, Wills and liaising with parties to ensure transactions are processed smoothly and efficiently.
